  17. That's funny. With an added chip I swear you could do VM on a 6800 machine.
  18. In fact I seem to remember in my electronics notes that Hitachi made a later
  19. version of the 6800 called the 6809 which included that extra chip on the
  20. same fabrication as the processor. There was a recent discussion on another
  21. newsgroup about different techniques for getting 68000 CPUs to restart
  22. instructions after a page fault was serviced. Let's not say that it's
  23. impossible, just awkward.
